NYROC™ Mastic Removal Tools

NYROC is a proprietary engineered plastic specifically formulated for removing difficult to remove materials from delicate, fragile and scratch prone surfaces. NYROC blades were designed originally for removing stubborn mastics in aircraft fuel tanks and fuselages, an application where any damage to the underlying aluminum could cause an aircraft to be permanently grounded.

NYROC blade tools (hand & power) have many applications:

• Aviation: Remove mastics and PRC from fuel tanks and fuselages. Remove anti-skid patches. Remove appliqués without damage to aluminum or painted surfaces. Approved for use on U.S. Air Force, Canadian Air Force and NATO military aircraft.
• Industrial: Clean rollers, dies, flange faces, valve seats, tanks and moulds without scratching stainless steel, aluminum, plexiglass, fiberglass, composite, glass, cured paint and other delicate surfaces.
• Marine: Remove marine growth and debris from fiberglass, aluminum and wood hulls.
• Engine Repair: Remove paper, silicone, composite, cork and other difficult to remove gaskets from valve covers, cylinder heads, oil pans, water pumps, timing covers and intake manifolds. Remove carbon from pistons and combustion chambers.
• Body Shop: Removes pin striping, decals, badges, trim pieces, stickers, labels, graphics, vinyl, caulk, silicone, sealants, gap fillers, windshield and trim adhesives, appliqués, mastic and PRC. Safe on plastic, fiberglass and most painted surfaces. Prepare surfaces for body filler, primers and paint.

Snap-on's Nyroc™ blade handkit contains an assortment of 15 Nyroc™ blades and an ergonomic rubber handle. The handkit is ideal for aviation, automotive and industrial use especially for delicate jobs and projects with awkward or limited access. Kit includes 6 x 1" Nyroc™ blades, 6 x 1/2" Nyroc™ blades, 3 x 1/4" Nyroc™ blades and 1 x ergonomic rubber handle.

Mastic Removal System

The vulcanized rubber padded blade holder works exclusively with Nyroc™ blades. Designed to comfortably fit in the user's hand, reduces operator fatigue and prevents injury to the user.
