Kurt Busch Takes the Checkered Flag In Atlanta
Snap-on Sponsored Driver Goes the Extra Miles to Pick-up Victory
Although he had to drive an extra 25 miles to get to victory lane, Snap-on sponsored NASCAR driver Kurt Busch was still able to pick up his first win of the 2010 season in Atlanta. Busch avoided numerous wrecks and drove an additional 16 laps to help Penske Racing capture its first Sprint Cup win of the year.
“We want to congratulate Kurt on winning such an exciting and wild race,” said Alicia Smales, vice president of marketing for Snap-on Tools. “Because of Snap-on’s long history with Penske Racing, it is always extra special when one of the Penske drivers wins. We also want to congratulate Roger Penske and his entire team on a great win and hope this propels them to great things in 2010.”
Snap-on’s sponsored Sprint Cup teams are off until March 21 when they compete at Bristol. Snap-on’s Nationwide series drivers will also return to the track after two weeks off when they race at Bristol on March 20. After a three-week break, Snap-on’s NHRA drivers will be back in action this weekend at the Gatornationals in Gainesville, Fla. while the Indy Racing League kicks offs its season on March 14 in Brazil with the San Paulo 300. Snap-on is once again sponsoring Penske Racing IRL drivers Ryan Briscoe, Helio Castroneves and Will Power in 2010.
